Become A Mentor
WAIM is looking for volunteers to be trained as Mentors for the Partners in Independence Adult Mentoring Program. Mentors create a supportive relationship with an adult Learning Partner who benefits from the Mentor’s guidance and experience, improving the Learning Partner’s ability to identify strengths and barriers while increasing capacity to progress toward becoming self sufficient and reaching economic security. Outdoor Craft Fair
Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish is hosting an Outdoor Craft Fair at St. Mary Church, 1600 Main Street, Coventry, on Saturday, October 17 from 8am to 1pm in the Church parking lot. Handmade items include assorted Floral Wreaths and Clothespin Wreaths (seasonal, holiday, various designs/colors); jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, and earrings); stitchery items (mittens, scarves, afghans) and intricate Quilling designs (in shadow boxes). Due to the ongoing Covid19 situation a decision was made to cancel both our August Tag Sale and our November Christmas Fair. If you had items for either event and can hold them until next year that would be greatly appreciated. We currently do not have the storage space to take in items at this time.
