Christmas Giving Tree

The St. Mary/St. Thomas Giving Tree Program begins in just two weeks on the weekend of November 23/24, when you can pick up gift slips, make your purchases, and return them the following weekend, place them under the Christmas tree, and add an ornament.

The program continues the following two weekends. Further details will be in next week’s bulletin.

This Program is an excellent opportunity to involve the children in your life.

They will have fun picking out presents, and they will also learn that there are people in our community who may not receive presents from their loved ones if it weren’t for this program, and that will make a lasting impression on them for the rest of their lives.

In addition to buying gifts, we are also in need of volunteers from St. Thomas who will bring items that have been donated to St. Mary’s each Sunday after the 8:30 am Mass.

We can also use volunteers from both churches to sort and package or to deliver the gifts to the designated agencies during the week.

If you can help with either of these jobs, please contact one of the people listed below. You can volunteer to assist just once or multiple times.

If you have questions or would like to volunteer to help, please contact Barbara Sloan (St. Mary) at 860-742-7415 or Cathy Kennelly (St. Thomas) at 860-742-9983.
