Chili Fundraiser

Chili Fundraiser
The St. Mary's Youth Group will be selling chili on March 7th and 8th after the 4:00 pm, 5:30 pm, 8:30 am, and 10:30 am Masses at St. Mary's and St. Thomas. This will be a fundraiser for the teens going to Steubenville this year.

Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner
THIS EVENT IS STILL BEING HELD as of 3/14/20 14:00 The St. Jude Council will be hosting a Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner on Saturday, March 14th, at 5:15 PM in the St. Mary Church Hall. The cost for the dinner is $15.00 for adults, $12.00 for Seniors and children under 10, and free for children under 6. The dinner includes corned beef and cabbage, red bliss potatoes, carrots, Irish soda bread, dessert, and coffee, tea, or lemonade. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Takeout is available for $15.00 a plate. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Haiti.

TLC Bake Sale
Tom's Leadership Council will be having a BAKE SALE next Saturday February 29th and Sunday March 1st at both St Thomas Aquinas and St Mary's. This is to raise funds for the upcoming Appalachia trip during Spring Break. We would love it if you could help us out by dropping off any baked goods at St. Thomas Student Center, that you wish to donate to our sale Thursday and Friday this upcoming week between 9am and 9pm. And Saturday between 8am and 4pm. Thank you in advance for any help you are willing to give us!

The three pillars of Lent are: Fasting, Praying, and Giving. Consider observing these three pillars with us every Friday during Lent by joining us for Stations of the Cross. The Knights of Columbus St. Jude Council 4313 will be sponsoring the Stations of the Cross every Friday during Lent starting February 28th. The MJM7 Catholic Family praise and worship band will be playing at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Center on Saturday, March 7th at 7pm. The band will also be performing at St. Philip the Apostle parish center (Rte. 44, Ashford, CT) on Sunday, March 8th, at 4pm. Haiti Ministry
We are in need of donations of bar soap, for use in birthing kits. The Zima family assembles our birthing kits, which save babies lives. Please drop of any size NEW bars of soap in the blue Haiti barrel in the church hall at St. Mary and designated box in the vestibule of St. Thomas. Small soaps from travel are accepted. Please do not donate soap in plastic bottles, as they have no way to recycle bottles. Thank you for support in our parish ministry to Les Palmes, Haiti. The St. Jude Council will be hosting a pancake breakfast on Sunday, February 16th, after the 10:30 AM Mass in the St. Mary Church hall. The cost for the breakfast is $5.00, and includes coffee, tea, hot chocolate, lemonade, sausage, and your choice of regular, blueberry, or gluten free pancakes, with butter and syrup.

Friday, February 14, 6pm The Pastoral Council organizes periodic Pot Luck Dinners in order to foster the social and community aspects of our parish of Our Lady Queen of Peace.
