Christmas Giving Tree
Each year the parish donates gifts to those in need, in honor of the birth of Jesus. We are pleased to say that we will be continuing this annual gifting program, although it will be somewhat different due to COVID19. On three Saturdays, November 28th, December 5th, and 12th, we will be holding a driveby dropoff at St. Mary’s from 13 pm for anyone who would like to drop off gifts. Upcoming Programs at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center, West Hartford
Due to the pandemic, retreats are being offered online via Zoom. There are a variety of programs to choose from: Saturday retreats, which are in place of the traditional weekend; Evenings of Reflection; online Masses; and a Christmas Concert. In the past three years, seventeen women from our parish have enjoyed the weekend retreat, and this year our retreat date is Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 9 am to 12:30 pm, although you can attend on any other Saturday when a women’s retreat is offered. Mini Holiday Craft Sale
Looking for a gift for someone or yourself? On November 28th & 29th and December 5th & 6th, we will be having a mini craft fair at St. Mary Church after the 4:00 pm Mass and the 10:30am Mass. There will be handmade scarves, hats, cozies and lap quilts; assorted floral wreaths, Christmas wreaths, themed clothespin wreaths: wooden crosses and other handmade wooden items.

Thanksgiving Drive-by Food Drive
Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish will be conducting a Thanksgiving driveby food drive, organized by the Pastoral Council and the Knights of Columbus, outside at St. Mary’s near the hall doors on Saturday, 11/14, from 12:30 p.m. 2:30 p.m. Catholic Charities is in need of frozen turkeys and frozen hams. There will be volunteers in masks and gloves to remove the frozen turkeys and hams from your vehicles. Please have all food in bags or boxes for quick removal. Please stay in your vehicles.
